Police Advising for Television and Film

In early 1990 I started close links with the successful Thames Television drama ‘The Bill’ as an instructor to the cast and advisor to script writers in the changing Police techniques.

In 1999 I joined the staff of ‘The Bill’ as a part-time Police Advisor working closely with the writers, production teams and cast to ensure the methods and techniques used were up to date.

My role advanced to being in front of camera as an extra with ‘special skills’ namely as a member of a firearms team or rapid entry team.

This role advanced my understanding of the industry and thus what I can now offer to any future productions –

24 years of Police experience (for details please see my CV on the leader page) twinned with 12 years of experience in the film production business.
